Promoted Work: Danny Roche

I love this guy.

Danny Roche is based in New York and he's already caught the eye of publications like REVS. He shoots some really beautiful portraits.

Take a look at this shot of Olga Timokhina; check out the fine detail and the careful use of depth of field. There is a technical proficiency to some of his work that is pretty incredible but the best part of it is that it's not self-congratulatory, it really is in service of taking an honest portrait. Going through his work really does give an intimate view of his subjects.

You can visit his main site but I also recommend following his tumblrs: here & here.

Promoted Work: Rosabel Martínez Pinzón

Rosabel Martínez Pinzón is a young photographer from Bucaramanga, Colombia. Her work is intentionally undefined, giving it an ephemeral quality.

She is a photographer working right out on the edge of meaning; it'll be very interesting to see where she goes with it.

She is currently exhibiting work in her college graduate show and she'll also be exhibiting in late August at the Cuba Biennial. She often displays her work in unconventional ways; like printing her images into the large mirrors used to monitor buildings and public places - she likes to see how people interact with her work.
