Jonathan Waiter was a real rising star before he was struck down with illness. I don't want to trivialise other people's struggles but Jonathan Waiter is fighting on a level that most of us will never understand. Please consider helping a great artist get the treatment he needs.

Skin-smoothing is bullshit. It’s the fucking worst photographic trend of 2013. Yes, it has been done for ages but last year is the worst I’ve ever seen.
I don’t understand why one feels the need to panel beat an incredible face into a store mannequin. I have never seen a good photograph improved by obliterating the subject. There is a whole section of the photographic community that is just sleepwalking into mediocrity.
Skin is beautiful; I salute everyone that celebrates it.
