This is where I live.

This is the view from my bedroom. I work here as a construction worker. I mention this because The Quiet Front may be interrupted by all kinds of things not generally a problem to most sites - these include but are not restricted to the following:

  • Snake bites - Tomorrow morning I have to take one of the local workers up to the hospital after they were bitten. Another worker and I were bitten last year (in separate incidents).
  • The fucking border. Hours standing at a fucking border post while bureaucrats push paper around.
  • The rain, which inevitably takes out the nearest town's power and their cell network - my tenuous link to the world.
  • Work.
  • Fun times.

I'll still try to post everyday, but if my posts slow down or inexplicably stop for a couple of days - you can guess the reason. I've got about three more months out here before I go back home and I can put my finger back on the pulse and really start pushing The Quiet Front where I want it to go.

Feel free to contact me or hit me on twitter - there is not much going by way of conversation with the locals (but they are very nice people).
